Florida | January 19, 2026 – Excel Capital Advisors announces that Paul Klein has joined the firm as a Director, focused on M&A and capital raising for founder-led and family-owned companies in the lower middle market.
In this role, Klein will work closely with business owners through the full transaction lifecycle, from the first conversation through close. His work includes shaping the company’s story and positioning, building buyer and investor lists, reviewing and preparing CIMs and supporting materials, running outreach, and negotiating key terms.
“Paul is the kind of banker owners want in their corner,” said Michael Devine, President of Excel Capital Advisors. “He’s hands-on, he understands what matters in diligence, and he knows how to keep a process moving without losing the details. We built Excel on integrity, relationships, and doing right by clients, and Paul fits that standard.”
Klein joins Excel from Skyway Capital Markets, where he served as a Vice President in the firm’s investment banking division. At Skyway, he led sell-side and minority recapitalization processes, built competitive buyer and investor universes, coordinated third-party advisors (including quality of earnings, legal, and tax), and guided management teams through IOIs, LOIs, and definitive documentation.
“I’ve always liked working with owners who get one real shot at a major transaction,” said Paul Klein, Director at Excel Capital Advisors. “Excel has built a strong reputation in the lower middle market by being direct, thoughtful, and client-first. I’m excited to join the team and help more founders find the right partner and the right outcome.”
Prior to investment banking, Klein began his career at KPMG as a Senior Associate auditing public and private middle-market companies. He graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Finance. Klein holds an active CPA license and FINRA Series 79 and 63 registrations.
