Director
Paul Klein is a Director at Excel Capital Advisors, where he advises founder-led and family-owned companies in the lower middle market on M&A and capital raising. He works alongside owners from the first conversation through close, shaping the equity story, developing buyer and investor lists, preparing and reviewing CIMs and databooks, running outreach, managing the data room and diligence, and negotiating terms. His sector experience spans telecommunications and digital infrastructure, wholesale distribution, building products and materials, industrial services, insurance, and aerospace and defense.
Previously, Paul was a Vice President at Skyway Capital Markets, where he led sell-side and minority recapitalization processes and managed relationships with private equity sponsors. He built competitive buyer universes, coordinated quality-of-earnings, legal, and tax workstreams, kept diligence on schedule, and guided management teams through IOI, LOI, and definitive agreements.
Paul began his career at KPMG as a Senior Associate, auditing public and private middle-market companies. He graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting and Finance, and holds an active Florida CPA license and FINRA Series 79 and 63 registrations.
